In Memory of Vittorio Bertocci

This giving campaign is dedicated to the memory of Vittorio Bertocci - our Okta colleague and CIC's Principal Architect for identity standards - who very sadly passed away. Vittorio was one of the most recognizable public faces in the identity industry and worked with many of the standards bodies, such as the IETF, W3C, and FIDO Alliance. He truly helped create identity as an industry rather than as an afterthought and was a driving force behind all the passkey announcements we had at Oktane last week.  

Vittorio not only had a passion for identity, but he also lived to share that passion with others and made "raising the public's identity IQ" a focus of his career.  His impact was so great that after his diagnosis just a few months ago, even our competitors were sending their thoughts in public: https://www.pingidentity.com/en/resources/blog/post/vittorio-bertocci-identity-community-contributions.html.

We're heartbroken to have lost him so soon! With support from his beloved wife, we have identified two organizations from which to fundraise for during this time - Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and Questbridge.
